International Admissions

Welcome! Thank you for taking the time to consider the possibility of studying at Princeton Theological Seminary! Princeton Theological Seminary is committed to embracing in its life and work the breadth of communions represented in the worldwide church. Throughout its history, the Seminary has welcomed men and women from around the globe and equipped them for leadership in congregations and the larger church worldwide.

In our effort to continue with this tradition, we offer four graduate level degrees to international students:

The Admissions Committee does not normally consider admitting international students into the M.Div. degree program. We encourage international students to obtain this degree in their home country or geographic region. The following is an excerpt from page 35 of the current revision of the catalogue that addresses this issue: Please note that Princeton Theological Seminary encourages international students to earn their Master of Divinity degree in their home countries; thus, international students are not normally admitted to the M.Div. program.

With this said, the committee considers applications from international students to this degree program but the applicant must demonstrate why they are seeking an exception to our policy.

Additionally, there is no scholarship funding available to assist international students with funding the M.Div. program. The maximum aid available is a need based tuition grant that would only cover a fraction of the cost of this program.
